Directions and Maps

The town of Dunfermline is easily accessible from all parts of central Scotland. The famous Forth Bridges are just ten minutes from the centre of the town by car, and even less by rail, allowing excellent access from Edinburgh and the south east.

Those arriving from the west can travel via the Kincardine bridge, passing through the Royal Burgh of Culross, a perfectly preserved example of an old Scottish village, before reaching Dunfermline.

The similarly historic town of Stirling is only thirty minutes drive, and St. Andrews, the home of golf, around 50 minutes to the east.

The map shows the centre of the town, as well as the Abbey and Abbot House.

Click! Further information can be obtained for the Scottish Tourist Board office in the High Street, opposite the city chambers, near the Abbey.
